PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE

Ordinance #2005-19: Christ Community Church Special Use Permit Request.  Request for a new church use on property located on the west side of North First Street in Mayfield Township, Petition MY-05-12.  Committee Action: Moved by Mr. Faivre, seconded by Mrs. Allen, and it was carried unanimously to forward the recommendation with conditions to the full board for approval.

 

FINANCE COMMITTEE

  1. Resolution #R2005-55:  NACO Drug Card Program.  To offer all the citizens of DeKalb County the NACO Prescription Drug Card Program, with savings averaging 14% off retail for brand name medicines and 34% off retail for generic medicines.  The mail order program provided savings of up to 50% off retail on generic drugs.  Committee Action:  Moved by Ms. Leifheit, seconded by Mr. Faivre and it was carried unanimously to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Resolution #R2005-56:  Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Compliance.  To have funds available to the County of DeKalb from United States Government to purchase new accessible voting equipment certified by the State Board of Elections and in compliance with HAVA requirements.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Steimel, seconded by Ms. Fauci, and it was carried unanimously, to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.

DEKALB COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT

a.)          Resolution #R2005-57:  Bid Award for Two Open Air Shelters.  Bid Awarded to the lowest bidder, Park Supply Company of Geneva, Illinois, for two open air shelters, in the amount of $17,250.00.  Committee Action:  Moved by Ms. Turner, seconded by Mr. Gudmunson, and it was carried unanimously to forward the resolution to the full Forest Preserve Commissioners for approval.

b.)          Resolution #R2005-58:  Bid Award for the Construction of a New Trail in Potawatomi Woods Forest Preserve.  Bid Awarded to the lowest bidder, Dashney Gustafson, Inc., from Kirkland, Illinois, for a paved A.D.A. handicap accessible trail approximately 1 mile in length linking facilities and environments at Potawatomi Woods Forest Preserve, in the amount of $57,820.00.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Rosemier, seconded by Mr. Lyle, and it was carried unanimously to forward the resolution to the full Forest Preserve Commissioners for approval.
