PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
a.)
Ordinance #2006-11: Denial of the Baumgartner Use Variation Request.
To deny the request to build a house on a vacant one-acre property located on
the west side of East County Line Road in Cortland Township. Committee
Action: Moved by Mr. Faivre, seconded by Mr. Lyle, and it was carried to deny
the recommendation and to forward it to the full board for approval.
There were 5 yes votes (Mr. Faivre, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Steimel, Mrs. Dubin and Ms.
Vary) and 2 no votes (Mr. Slack and Mrs. Allen).
b.)
Ordinance #2006-12: Diedrich Special Use Permit Request. For
approval of a RV Storage Business on property located at 16133 S. First Street
in Afton Township. Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Vary, seconded by Mr.
Faivre, and it was carried unanimously to approve the recommendation with
conditions and to forward it to the full board for approval.
c.)
Ordinance #2006-13: Michaels Special Use Permit Request. For approval
of use of a telecommunications and relay tower at 14792 Tower Road in Milan
Township. Committee Action: Moved by Mr. Faivre, seconded by Mr. Lyle,
and it was carried unanimously to approve the recommendation and to forward it
to the full board for approval.
d.)
Ordinance #2006-14: Reck Three Use Variations Request. For approval
to build one house on each of three (3) vacant 10-acre parcels located on the
west side of Graham Road in Victor Township. Committee Action: Moved by
Mr. Faivre, seconded by Mrs. Dubin, and it was carried to approve the
recommendation with the condition on the northernmost that no structure be
constructed within 100 feet of the existing drainage ditch, and to forward it to
the full board for approval. There were six (6) yes votes and one (1) no vote
(Mrs. Allen).
HEALTH AND
HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE
a.) Resolution
#R2006-31: Annual Senior Services Tax Levy Appropriations. To award the
following allocations for the Senior Services Tax Levy Appropriations: Family
Services Agency was awarded $100,000; The DeKalb County Health Department was
awarded $26,000; the Elder Care Services Agency was awarded $22,500 for their
Case Management Program and $20,000 for their Elder Abuse Program; Voluntary
Action Center was awarded $85,000 for their Meals On Wheels Program and $75,000
for their Transportation Program; Hospice was awarded $3,000; Prairie State
Legal Services was awarded $3,000; Fox Valley Older Adults was awarded $35,000;
Opportunity House was awarded $20,000 and Barb City Manor was awarded $5,000.
Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Tobias, seconded by Ms. Dubin, and it was
carried unanimously to approve the recommendation and to forward it to the full
board for approval.

a.) Resolution
#R2006-30: Amendment to the Agreement for Auction of Tax Deed Property. To
amend the current contract for professional services with Joseph E. Meyer to
increase the minimum auction sale bid for delinquent parcels from the current
level of $450 to $600. Committee Action: Moved by Mr. Haines, seconded
by Mr. Sands, and it was carried unanimously to approve the recommendation and
to forward it to the full board for approval.

a.) Resolution
#R2006-32: Establishing a Stormwater Management Planning Committee. To
establish a Stormwater Management Planning Committee for the purpose of
developing a stormwater management plan for DeKalb County, Illinois.
Committee Action: Moved by Ms. LaVigne, seconded by Ms. Leifheit, and it was
carried unanimously to forward this recommendation to the full board for
approval.
