PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE

            a.) Ordinance #2006-22: Larson Special Use Permit Amendment. To amend a special Use Permit for a gravel operation located on the south side of Bethany Road and the east side of Airport Road in Cortland Township.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Faivre, seconded by Mr. Slack, and it was carried unanimously to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.

            b.) Ordinance #2006-23:  Amendment to the DeKalb County Zoning Ordinance Regarding Criteria for Use Variations.  Petition to amend the Use Variation regulations to address properties acquired prior to October of 1976.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Slack, seconded by Mrs. Dubin, and it was carried to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.  There were 5 yes votes (Lyle, Slack, Steimel, Dubin and Allen) and one no vote (Faivre).

            c.) Ordinance #2006-24:  The Greenways and Trails Plan for DeKalb County.  Request of the DeKalb County Greenways and Trails Coalition for approval of a DeKalb County Greenways and Trails Plan. Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Slack, seconded by Mr. Lyle, and it was carried to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.  There were five yes votes (Lyle, Slack, Steimel, Dubin and Faivre) and one no vote (Allen).

 

 

 

COUNTY HIGHWAY COMMITTEE

 

Resolution #R2006-59:  Bid Award for the Construction of a Single Span Steel I-Beam Bridge.  To award a bid to the lowest bidder, Civil Constructors, Inc., of Freeport, Illinois, in the amount of $521,458.95, for the construction of a single span steel I-Beam bridge with a reinforced concrete deck including necessary roadway approaches on Suydam Road over Little Indian Creek.  Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Fauci, seconded by Mr. Anderson, and it was carried unanimously to forward this recommendation to the full board for approval.

 

 

 

FINANCE COMMITTEE

            a.) Resolution #R2006-60:  FY2007 Budget To Place On File For Public View.  To place DeKalb County’s FY2007 Budget on File for Public Viewing in the County Clerk’s Office, on the County’s Internet site, and at two other geographically diverse public offices (The Sandwich City Hall and the office of the Genoa City Clerk), for public inspection.                    –ON THE TABLES -

            a.) Resolution #R2006-57:  Bid Award for a New Tractor/Loader. To recommend a bid award to the lowest bidder, Buck Bros., Inc., of Hampshire, Illinois, for the purchase of a new John Deere tractor/loader, model 5203, including loaded tires and ballast, at a cost of $16,595.00.  Moved by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Ms. Turner, and it was carried unanimously to forward the recommendation to the full board for approval.  

            b.) Resolution #R2006-55:  FY2007 Budget to Place on File for Public Viewing.  To place the Forest Preserve District’s FY2007 Budget on File for Public Viewing in the County Clerk’s Office, on the County’s Internet site, and at two other geographically diverse public offices (The Sandwich City Hall and the office of the Genoa City Clerk), for public inspection.  Committee Action:  Moved by           , seconded by              , and it was carried ________________.

            c.) Resolution #R2006-58:  Land Preservation Specialist Hiring.  To recommend the 

 

        hiring of Mr. Dan Lobbes of the Land Conservation Foundation to act as an outside 

        negotiator for the District with an initial fee limit of $8,700.00.  Committee Action:  

        Moved by Mr. Gudmunson, seconded by Ms. Turner, and it was carried 

       unanimously to forward this recommendation to the full forest preserve 

       commissioners for approval.
