Resolution #R2008- 49:  Supplemental Requests for the Senior Services Tax Levy Funding.  To allow for the approval for supplemental funding for capital purposes from the Senior Service Tax Levy funds.  Elder Care Services Agency and the Fox Valley Older Adults Agency are the two agencies making the requests.  Committee Action:  Moved by             , seconded by            , and it was carried          to forward this recommendation to the full board for approval.

     EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

 

Resolution #R2008- 48:  Supporting the City of Chicago’s Bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  DeKalb County respectfully encourages its member municipalities, townships and other local governments and organizations to support the City of Chicago and Chicago 2016 as they compete for the privilege to host the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as to pledge their assistance to enhance Chicago’s efforts.  Committee Action:  Moved by Ms. LaVigne, seconded by Ms. Fauci, and it was carried unanimously to forward this recommendation to the full board for approval.

      DEKALB COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT

a.)               Resolution #R2008-50:  Land Acquisition.  To allow the Forest Preserve District Committee to acquire a 40-acre parcel and to approve them applying for an O.S.L.A.D. grant partnership with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and any other grants and donation to help acquire this land for recreation, environmental education and preservation of this diverse plant and animal community.
