All LEPC meetings are open to the public.  The LEPC encourages attendance by anyone interested in its activities.

Established by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, the LEPC plans quick responses to possible releases of hazardous materials within the county.  Details about the LEPC, its membership and its activities can be found on its website, which can be reached at: http://kb9tar.home.att.net/lepc/

The agenda for the LEPC meeting includes a call to order; roll calls of officers, members and guests; introductions; and a determination if a quorum is present.  The meeting then proceeds with approval of minutes from the preceding meeting, a report on LEPC membership changes if needed, and reports from the Secretary/Treasurer and Chair.  Members highlight any upcoming training opportunities, conferences or conventions that may be of interest.  The meeting concludes with a roundtable discussion by LEPC members and an opportunity for members of the general public to comment or ask questions.

Individuals who wish to participate actively in the LEPC are encouraged to apply for membership.  See the LEPC website for details on its needs, and its expectations of LEPC members.

The upcoming schedule for LEPC meetings also includes Monday, April 17, 2006, and Monday, July 17, 2006.
