Once the required paperwork is on file in our office, a sub must re-register each school year with the Regional Office of Education.  You may re-register in person, or by telephone.  Once your certificate expiration date is verified, you will be asked in which district(s) you wish to substitute, and your name will be sent to each district requested. 

· If you subbed in DeKalb County during the last school year, please call the  ROE at (815) 217-0460 or (815) 217-0464 to re-register for the coming school year. You do not need to call for each individual district; one call will suffice for multiple districts.

  Please do not call more than one time to re-register.

· If you subbed in the past (but not during the last school year) please call

the Regional Office of Education (815) 217-0460 or (815) 217-0464 in order to reactivate your file.  Legislation may have changed since you last subbed, requiring new  documentation or procedures.
