GENERAL PRIMARY FILING CALENDAR
FEBRUARY 2, 2010

August 4, 2009	First day to circulate petitions for established political party candidates for the following offices:
	Countywide Offices (4 year term): County Clerk, Regional Superintendent of Schools, Sheriff, Treasurer , State’s Attorney (2 year unexpired term).
	County Board Member (2 year term): 1 member from each of the 12 Districts. (Following the census in 2010, all county board districts will be re-aligned. In 2012 all 24 county board members are elected and a lottery is held to determine 2 yr. or 4 yr. terms.)
	Precinct Committeemen (2 year term): All 85 Precincts (Precinct Committeemen will be elected at the February 2, 2010 General Primary Election)
October 26, 2009	First day to file nomination papers for established political party candidates.
November 2, 2009	Last day to file nomination papers for established political party candidates.
	Last day for established political party candidates to file a Statement of Economic Interests. The receipt must be filed with the candidate’s nomination papers on or before this date. (Exception: Precinct Committeemen do not file a Statement of Economic Interests).
