DeKalb County Health Department needs you to join our VR team! Volunteer Responders (VRs) are community minded citizens, over the age of 18, who volunteer to assist the Health Department during a public health emergency in the event medication needs to be distributed to residents of DeKalb County. VRs will serve in emergency roles according to the abilities and skills they list on the VR skills checklist (completed during the registration process). Volunteers will be assigned specific job roles, which may include handing out and checking completed forms, assisting with traffic flow, assisting disabled persons, administering medication, or providing worker support. Volunteer Responders will be assigned only to secure locations. In the event of a disease outbreak, volunteers and their families will be among the first to receive preventive medications.
