     6 months- 18 years of age                                       Starting 10/6/2011 through

 A parent of legal guardian must                                  8:30 – 11:30am     1:00 – 4:00pm accompany individuals under 18.

ANNUAL INFLUENZA VACCINATION IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL PERSONS AGED 6 MONTHS OR OLDER.

Important Reminders:

  • There is a $35.00 charge for the annual flu vaccine, payable by cash, check, or major credit cards with current photo ID. Medicare or Medicaid will be billed. You must bring your Medicare or Medicaid card with you and current photo ID.
  • Income-eligible children can receive their pediatric annual flu vaccine through the Vaccines for Children Program at a substantial cost savings. Vaccine for this State-funded program is available at a cost of $12.00.
  • Annual flu vaccine will not be given to individuals allergic to eggs or report a history of previous adverse reactions after receiving the annual flu vaccine.
  • The annual flu vaccine will provide protection against three types of influenza: 2009 H1N1, H3N2, and a B strain.

New this year the DeKalb County Health Department has worked with local pharmacies to create a network of resources with the same overall health goal.  100% of the county pharmacies have joined the DeKalb County Flu Prevention Alliance to make flu vaccine accessible to our residents.
