With all that in mind, lets review what we have proposed:

PROPOSED for FY 2000

Completion of the North First Street Project

A bridge on Chicago Road over Little Indian Creek is currently scheduled for rehab,
but may be replaced

A new Culvert north of Rt. 64 on Malta Road

A complete reconstruction of Suydam Rd from Rollo to the South County Line

A new bridge on Kirkland Road at Paulsen Rd

A new bridge over Indian Creek on Shabbona Rd

A new bridge in Malta Township on Rich Road

Resurfacing & upgrading of Barber Greene Road from Rt. 23 to Somonauk

Resurfacing of North State Rd from Genoa city limit to the County line

Replacement of the present Highway Department Building

At this point I’d like to mention two other road projects. The first one is the proposed relocation of Plank Road in the vicinity of Moose Range Road. Engineering is still evaluating this project. The second, is the relocation of the Genoa Road Railroad underpass at the west edge of Genoa. Money for this new Railroad underpass project has been requested through the Federal Government. If, and when these dollars become available, we would want to move forward with this important project.

PROJECTED for FY 2001

Traffic signals and intersection improvements on Peace Rd at Barber Greene.

Resurfacing of Somonauk Rd from I-88 to Perry

Resurfacing of Chicago Rd from W county line to Shabbona

A new bridge over the South Kishwaukee River on Irene Rd

Resurfacing and a new Railroad Crossing Rollo Rd from Suydam to Chicago Rd

Resurfacing Perry Road from Somonauk Rd to E Co. line

PROJECTED FY 2002

Again on Peace Road, plans call for the section between Rt. 23 and Rt. 64 to be improved to an 80,000 lb roadbed, if Truck Access Road Program funds are available. This, after IDOT completes the current work scheduled in Sycamore and returns this detour section to the Counties’ jurisdiction. IDOT has agreed to repair any damage to this section of Peace Road caused during the term of the detour.

Resurfacing Lindenwood/Esmond Rd W. Co. line to Old State

Resurfacing of Five Points Rd from Rt. 72 to Cherry Valley

Resurfacing Leland Rd from Suydam to South County Line

PROJECTED FOR FY 2003

Widening Peace Rd from Caterpillar N. to site of new Menard's

Resurfacing E. County Line Rd. from Rt. 64 to Maple Park

Reconstruction of Kirkland Rd. from Rt. 72 to the Boone County Line
