The DeKalb County Forest Commissioners met in regular session at the Legislative Center on Wednesday, July 20, 2005.   President Pro Tem Whelan called the meeting to order and the Clerk called the roll.  Those Commissioners present were Mrs. Allen, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Ms. De Fauw, Vince Faivre, Ms. Fauci, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Slack, Mr. Steimel, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary and Chairman Pro Tem Whelan. Those Commissioners absent were Mrs. Dubin, Steve Faivre, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Leifheit, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Sands and President Tobias. Seventeen Commissioners were present and seven Commissioners were absent. 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Motion

Ms. Fauci moved to approve the Minutes of the June 20, 2005 meeting.  Ms. Vary seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

The President Pro Tem asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion

Ms. Fullerton moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Lyle seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

The President Pro Tem asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea.

BUSINESS

Claims

Ms. Fauci moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $26,055.21 and Payroll & Emergency Claims paid from prior month in the amount of $30,305.74.  Mr. Rosemier seconded the motion.

Roll Call Vote

The President Pro Tem called for a roll call vote on the Claims.  Those Commissioners voting yea were Mrs. Allen, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Ms. De Fauw, Vince Faivre, Ms. Fauci, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Slack, Mr. Steimel, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary and President Pro Tem Whelan. All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS

On Sunday, August 14^th, 2005 a Volunteer Appreciation Picnic will be held at the Afton Forest Preserve. All Board Members and their families are invited and asked to bring a dish to pass.  Dedication to Dr. Sorenson will take place at that time.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion

Ms. Vary moved to adjourn the meeting.  Ms. Fullerton seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

The President Pro Tem asked for a voice vote on the motion to adjourn.  All Commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.
