The meeting opened at 7:05 pm with   members and 1 guest (John Acardo) from Representative Pritchard’s Office.

Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

The checking account contains $1777.57 with no income or expenses this month.

Correspondence: Press release for the upcoming Vetfair IV.

Committee reports: 

1.      Superintendent: reported on open meetings/freedom of information act,

Training he the president and exec assistant attended in Springfield.  Meeting times and places will have to be placed on the County website.  Minutes, agendas will also be posted 72 business hours in advance.  Also noted that oif/oef vets are not eligible for Il bonus.  We need to contact out legislatures to get this corrected.

2.  Vetfair IV: will be August 11, 2007 at Kishwaukee College 9:30 am to 1 pm.

It’s possible we will have the boy scouts sell hot dogs and burgers for profit, if we can get them donated.  Some people will be reimbursed for the time arranging Vetfair IV.  A way is being worked out to give some of the proceeds back to the community.

3.  Bylaws: are being reviewed for possible changes and a vote would come up in June.

4.      Budget & Personnel: no report.

5.      Public relations: press releases being done by Frank.
