The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session
at the Legislative Center on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. President Tobias called
the meeting to order and the Clerk called the roll. Those Commissioners present
were Mrs. Allen, Ken Andersen, Larry Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Mrs. Dubin, Mr.
Faivre, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Haines, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. LaVigne,
Mr. Lyle, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Stoddard,
Mr. Stuckert, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary, Mr. Walt and Chairman Tobias. Those
Commissioners absent were Ms. De Fauw and Ms. Fauci. Twenty-two Commissioners
were present and two Commissioners were absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Mr. Rosemier moved to approve the Minutes of the April 18, 2007 meeting. Ms. Vary seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion Ms. Fullerton moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Faivre seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. BUSINESS Resolution R2007 - 31: Acquisition of the Afton Forest Preserve Addition Motion Mrs. Turner moved to accept a Resolution approving the acquisition of the Afton Forest Preserve Addition, O.S.L.A.D. Grant Application, and the purchase contract attached hereto, at a cost of $770,214.00. Mr. Hulseberg seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote The President called for a roll call vote on the Resolution. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mrs. Allen, Ken Andersen, Larry Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Faivre, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Haines, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Stoddard, Mr. Stuckert, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary, Mr. Walt and Chairman Tobias. All Commissioners present voted yea. Claims Mrs. Turner moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $809,108.75 and Payroll & Emergency Claims paid from the prior month in the amount of $23,694.37. Ms. Vary seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mrs. Allen, Ken Andersen, Larry Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Faivre, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Haines, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Stoddard, Mr. Stuckert, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary, Mr. Walt and Chairman Tobias. All Commissioners present voted yea. OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS Mrs. Turner announced that there will be a Sunrise Rotary Run this Saturday @ 8a.m. at Potawatomi Woods. ADJOURNMENT Motion Mr. Lyle moved to adjourn the meeting. Ms. LaVigne seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the motion. All Commissioners present voted yea.
