The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session
at the Legislative Center on Wednesday, October 17, 2007. President Tobias
called the meeting to order and the Clerk called the roll. Those Commissioners
present were voting yea were Mr. Walt, Ms. Vary, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Stuckert, Mr.
Stoddard, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Lyle, Mr.
Hulseberg, Ms. Fullerton, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Faivre, Mrs. Dubin, Ms. De Fauw, Mr.
Augsburger, Larry Anderson, Ken Andersen, Mrs. Allen and Chairman Tobias. Those
Commissioners absent were Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Haines and Mr. Gudmunson. Twenty-one
Commissioners were present and three Commissioners were absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Mrs. Turner moved to approve the Minutes of the September 19, 2007. Mr. Rosemier seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion Ms. Fauci moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Metzger seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. BUSINESS Resolution R2007 - 67: To Place the FY2008 Budget on File for Public View Motion Ms. Fauci moved to approve a Resolution to place the Forest Preserve District’s FY2008 Budget on File for Public Viewing in the County Clerk’s Office, on the County’s Internet site, and at two other geographically diverse public offices (The Sandwich City Hall and the office of the Genoa City Clerk), for public inspection file. Ms. Vary seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. Claims Ms. Fauci moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $317,813.32 and Payroll Charges in the amount of $25,008.01, representing current claims and monies paid during the previous month that were no part of last month’s report, totaling $342,821.33. Mr. Walt seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Walt, Ms. Vary, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Stuckert, Mr. Stoddard, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. Fullerton, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Faivre, Mrs. Dubin, Ms. De Fauw, Mr. Augsburger, Larry Anderson, Ken Andersen, Mrs. Allen and Chairman Tobias. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS Volunteer Day was announced for planting this Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Afton Forest Preserve from 9am to 12pm and Potawatomi Woods from 2pm to 5pm. ADJOURNMENT Motion Ms. Fullerton moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Steimel seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the motion. All Commissioners present voted yea.
