The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in a Special Session at the Legislative Center on Monday, December 2, 2002. For the purpose of organizing for the 2002-2004 term.  Chairman Pritchard called the meeting to order.  The Oath of Office having been administered previously to the Commissioners elect, the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mrs. Allen, Mr. Faivre, Ms. Fauci, Ms Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Johnson, Ms. LaVigne, Mrs. Leifheit, Mr. Lyle, Mr. MacMurdo, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Pritchard, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Sands, Mr. Slack, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Steimel, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. VanBuer, Ms. Vary, Mr. Wiegand and Mr. Wilson. One Commissioner, Mrs. Dubin, was absent. Twenty-three Commissioners were present and one Commissioner was absent.

 

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion

Mr. Faivre moved to approve the Agenda as printed and distributed.  Mr. Johnson seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

The Chair called for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda.  All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

ELECTION OF COMMISSIONERS PRESIDENT

Nominations

Chairman Pritchard opened the floor for Nominations for Forest Preserve District Commissioner President for the 2002-2004 term.

Motion

Mr. Steimel nominated Mr. Pritchard as the Forest Preserve District President and Mr. Metzger seconded the motion.

Close Nominations

Mr. Johnson moved to close the Nominations for Forest Preserve District Commissioner President. Mr. MacMurdo seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

Chairman Pritchard called for a voice vote on the motion.  All Commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

Chairman Pritchard called for a voice vote on the election of a Forest Preserve Commissioner President for the 2002-2004 term. All Commissioners voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.
