The Administrative Service Committee of the DeKalb County Board met in the Freedom Room of the DeKalb County Legislative Center, 200 North Main Street, Sycamore, IL at 6:35 PM on March 9^th, 2004.

Call to Order.

Chairman Leifheit called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm.  Present, in addition to Chairman Sue Leifheit, were Vice-Chairman Steve Faivre, Jeff Metzger, Roger Steimel,  and Dennis Sands.  Also present were Ray Bockman and Marlene Allen.

Approval of the Minutes

It was moved by Roger Steimel and seconded by Dennis Sands to approve the minutes of the February 4, 2004 meeting.  Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Approval of the agenda

Chairman Leifheit notified those present that item number five, stained glass report, would not be included in tonight’s meeting but would be discussed at a subsequent meeting of this committee.  It was moved by Jeff Metzger and seconded by Steve Faivre to approve the agenda as amended.  Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Annual Property Tax Abatements 

Mr. Bockman presented four separate resolutions (copies attached) to the committee all recommending the abatement of property taxes in the following amounts:

1.      Health Facility (1997 Bonds) $662,257.00

2.      Transportation Facility Loan $208,000.00

3.      Operating and Maintenance and Renewal and Replacement (Sycamore Campus $14,000.00.

4.      Alternate revenue Bonds (1995) $345,950.00.

It was moved by Roger Steimel and seconded by Steve Faivre to forward all four resolutions to the full County Board with a recommendation of approval from this committee.  The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

It was moved by Steve Faivre and seconded by Jeff Metzger to adjourn.  The motion carried by unanimous voice vote of those present.  The meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.
