	Minutes of the Forest Preserve District Proceedings May 16, 2001

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve Commissioners met at the DeKalb County Courthouse on Wednesday, May 16, 2001. President Pritchard called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. Metzger, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Dlabal, Dr. Conway, Mrs. Casella, Mr. Brown, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. One Commissioner, Mr. Barr was absent. Twenty-three Commissioners were present and one Commissioner was absent.

Mr. Metzger moved to approve the Minutes of the April 21, 2001 meeting. Mr. Haines seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Dlabal moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Hoffman seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Morreale moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $16,013.76 and Payroll & Emergency Claims paid from prior month in the amount of $17,421.93. Mr. Metzger seconded the motion.

The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. Metzger, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Dlabal, Dr. Conway, Mrs. Casella, Mr. Brown, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Under new business, Mr. Morreale announced the receipt of a Grant from DeKalb County Community Foundation to help move the Pierce Township Building to Merrit Praire.

Mrs. Leifheit moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Dlabal seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the motion to adjourn. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.
