P.I.N.10-04-400-00l Barbara Govig is planning to split off two houses located on a 157-acre farm at 17391 Shabbona Road in Milan Township so that each is on its own lot. However, the houses would be only 9.7 feet from the new lot line, and an existing shed would be only 6.2 feet from the new line. DeKalb County Zoning Ordinance requires all structures to be a minimum of 20 feet from property lines. In order for the parcel to be divided as proposed, Variations must be granted from the Zoning Ordinance regulations. Before Variations can be granted, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer.

Barbara Govig is requesting such Variations from the DeKalb County Zoning Ordinance for the property located at 17391 Shabbona Road in Milan Township, DeKalb County. A public hearing will be held by the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the DeKalb County Administration Building, Conference Room East, 110 East Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL 60178. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard, as this will be the only opportunity for public input on the application. The application for the Variation, Petition MI-10-08, is available for inspection at the DeKalb County Planning Department, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, (815) 895-7188.

P.I.N.01-07-400-011 Howard and Karen Caracciolo bought the property located at 34485 Wheeler Road in Franklin Township in 1996. However, the 12-acre property was divided from a larger tract and only has 33 feet of frontage on the road rather than 200 feet as required by the DeKalb County Zoning Ordinance. In order to bring the property into compliance with County Zoning, a Variation must be granted from this requirement. Before a Variation can be granted, a public hearing must be held before the County Hearing Officer.

Howard and Karen Caracciolo have requested such a lot width Variation for the property located at 34485 Wheeler Road. A public hearing will be held by the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the DeKalb County Administration Building, Conference Room East, 110 E Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL 60178. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard, as this will be the only opportunity for public input on the application.
