The Convocation Center is located on NIU's West Campus, north of Lincoln Highway, south of the soccer fields and west of Huskie Stadium.

Somonauk Summer Fest
This first annual three day event takes place in the Village of Somonauk July 25-27, 2008 and will continue annually the last weekend in July. Sign-up for Volleyball, Horse Shoe and Bean Bag tournaments is going on now. There are many first time events to enjoy including an ISP Truck and Tractor Pull, beer garden and live music. Call Somonauk Village Hall at 815-498-3500 for info and tournament applications.

This annual event is held the last full weekend of August in the City of DeKalb

Sandwich Fair
This annual five-day event in the City of Sandwich starts on the Wednesday immediately following Labor Day and runs through Sunday evening.  The link above will take you to the Sandwich Fair's official site.


 
Illinois State Fair 
The fair is “family-friendly”, and throughout the 10-day fair (normally in August), each day will spotlight a different focus, including: county fairs, local officials, veterans, senior citizens, youth, park districts, families/violence prevention, and agriculture.

Sycamore Pumpkin Festival
This annual event is held the last full weekend of October in the City of Sycamore.

Hands Around the Courthouse
This annual May event invites people to join hands to show their support of Child Abuse Prevention Month & Child Abuse Awareness Week.

  • Mayors' Memorial Day Breakfast
