Hands Around the Courthouse - April 
This annual (spring) event invites people to join hands to show their
support of Child Abuse Prevention Month & Child Abuse Awareness Week. The event will be held at noon in the courtyard of the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore, IL. For more information about the services at Family Service Agency call 815-758-8616 or visit www.realsulutionstoday.org.

Somonauk Summer Fest 
Enjoy the 4th annual three day event taking place in the Village of Somonauk the last weekend in July. There are a variety of events including a parade, RE/MAX Balloon rides, cruise night, car show, antique baseball games, craft show, ISP Truck and Tractor Pull, beergarden and live music as well as volleyball and bean bag tournaments, plus plenty for the kids. Annual Waterman Lion’s Club Tractor Show & Waterman Summer Fest
Is held in July at Waterman Lion’s Community Park located south of Rt. 30 on Birch St. The day’s events begin with a French Toast Breakfast at 7am. Other events include: Antique Tractor Show (call Leonard at 815-264-3841 to enter), Parade of Power, Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull, Craft Show/Flea Market (call Richard at 815-264-3664 to reserve space), Petting Zoo, Kid’s activities, Draw-Down Raffle, All Day concessions, Lion’s Club Pork Chop BBQ, Hayrides, Magic Show at 2:30, Live Bands, Beer Garden and Fireworks.

This annual event is held the last full weekend of August at the Taylor Municipal Airport in DeKalb, Illinois

Illinois State Fair
The fair is “family-friendly”, and throughout the 10-day fair (normally in
August), each day will spotlight a different focus, including: county fairs,
local officials, veterans, senior citizens, youth, park districts,
families/violence prevention, and agriculture. |

Sandwich Fair 
This annual five-day event in the City of Sandwich starts on the Wednesday
immediately following Labor Day and runs through Sunday evening. |

Sycamore Pumpkin Festival 
This annual event is held the last full weekend of October in the
City of Sycamore.
